It wasn't a heart attack. He has arrhythmia that acted up and he's fine now.

I got hooked when I heard "believe in nothing". The ex nevermore singer's voice was/is amazing. I was not impressed when they got a new singer and I really did my best not to like him. Didn't last long though. Their latest album is really really quite amazing and the more you listen the more you find yourself loving it.
SO yay for nevermore.
I now own "This Godless Endeavor" and I'm loving it :D
Still not checked out any of their older material though ...

If I remember rightly they're supporting Disturbed in March...

I got into Nevermore last year when i heard 'Born' on the radio, and thought the song was fuckin amazing to say the least, what a chorus!
at the time the only album i could find was the Andy Sneap remix of Ememies of Reality - it has some pretty good songs, Never Purify being great! but hearing the Godless Endeavor later on, it is much better and more focused album which is unstandable given the production problems they had with EOR
Still haven't heard the more earlier material yet
I feel so bad for these guys.
Bassist Jim Sheppard has been battling Chron's Disease for over 15 years now and has been out of the band recently as he needs an operation.
Recently Steve Smyth has been diagnosed with end-stage kidney failure :( which is caused by a congenital birth defect, so he is obviously out of the band at the moment too.
Then at the weekend a gig in the US had to be cancelled as now Warrel Dane has an "unspecified illness" :stunned:
Pat O'Brien is a brilliant guitarist.
Never listend to Nevermore though.

I loooooove 'The Psalm Of Lydia'.
It's mosherific.
So has anyone heard Warrel Dane's solo album?
Personally I'm more interested in hearing Jeff Loomis' solo effort.
Then hopefully we will get new Nevermore next year :D

I have heard both ;)
Look for Mile of Machines in terms of Jeff Loomis, it's easily the best song.

got into them several months ago..
I immedialately loved them , they're kinda thrash-prog-power... can't tag them..
however.. Jeff Loomis is a veeery good guitarist and i love his writing..
and for those who haven't done it yet: check Enemies Of Reality, This Goosdless Endeavor and The Politics Of Ecstasy (more proggy this one)...

Quite literally popped a boner over the introduction to this song. Just incredible!
