It really is flawless, it's one of those albums where you can't pick a single fault with it. Venus is one of the best pop songs ever and well Marquee Moon itself - one of the only ten minute plus songs where not a single note is wasted...

The remastered version really is worth it for clarity of sound etc.

Marquee Moon is the real stairway to heaven...every note, ascending...magnificent.

what guitars were made for.

See No Evil is also one of the most addictive songs ever.

I've saw them tonight, at not-so-big local club. What an amazing band.
They were like sexy and mature version of The White Stripes, if I should describe. Great songs, and amazing performance (especially the guitar, needless to say). I can't think of anyone who's better than that.

Yeah, I think they have been defunct for a while now - it might be another band with the same name?

are they still performing?? johnny thunders died 20 years ago..Who's Johnny Thunders? :confused:Television reformed in 1992, recording an eponymous third album, and have performed live sporadically thereafter. Since being wooed back onstage together for the 2001 All Tomorrow's Parties at Camber Sands, England, they have played a number of dates around the world, and continue to perform occasionally in New York while touring on an irregular basis.I saw Tom Verlaine, Richard Lloyd, Fred Smith, Billy Ficca, I think. They are aged and hard to recognize (I'm not a keen fan), but Tom Verlaine for sure, exactly the same face as the cover of Marquee Moon.

They played most of the songs from Marquee Moon, by the way, which I did recognize. :D

Holy poop! You lucky so and so!Yep.

The link I posted above says "We probably play about 10 shows a year around the world right after Toronto" so (I don't know where you are but) may be you'll get a chance to see them, too . :)

I think it's the best song from the album without a doubt. The whole album is underrated, actually.

I wonder how Tom Verlaine is doing, I heard he found his own "God" ... from a documentary director last year. It didn't sound very positive, as if he may not perform ever again.

No he didn't.
Johnny Thunders was nothing to do with Television.
You sure you aren't thinking of The Heartbreakers?
