Brilliance, Little Kix wasn't up the same standard I guess but it's all good ;)
Little kix is alright but doesnt seem to have that sort of flair and style as the other albums.
It has 'I can only dissapoint you' on it though :D
Nah that song is lousy! :p

Best song on Little Kix was Goodbye!!! But for sure Six was a album of brilliance!
Whats Paul upto these days?

I thought media destroyed that band, especially papers like NME which rarely wrote anything good about Mansun. Now I'm not sure... perhaps they lost something on the way. Two first albums were ace but between them and Little Kix is a hudge gap. Little Kix is so average.

yea that's what I thought little kix is alright but there's something missing from it that the other two albums held.
Its a shame they spilt up...for I shall never get to see them play live :(

I think the problem with Little Kix is that with AotGL and Six being so good, it ended up quite a disappointment when in theory it wasn't that bad.

Little Kix really wasn't that bad, I Can Only Disappoint You and Fool were great songs in my opinion, I do think that after Grey Lantern and then Six it was a big let down but the new songs held their own pretty well live.

******
Almost a year to the day since Mansun announced their split, lead singer, guitar player and principal songwriter of the band, Paul Draper, has made a statement regarding news of 'Kleptomania', a new Mansun release, and talks about his own plans for a solo career. The announcement is currently available on the front page of MANSUN.NET and MANSUN.ORG, or can be read here:
Hi everyone,
Firstly, big apologies for not updating you for such a long time. I will try to keep you informed regularly from now on about future plans for the band and myself - thank you so much for your patience. I'll try and explain why things have been so quiet, and shed a bit of light on the band's split (which was an incredibly difficult decision to make). But more of that later...
Over the past few months I've been working with Parlophone on pulling together the loose ends since the split of the band. What we have decided is that Mansun's fourth album sessions will be released later this year. These recordings will appear in a three CD package, entitled 'Kleptomania'. CD1 will be the fourth album sessions, CD2 will have the best stuff from the EPs (the tracks that weren't ever available on the albums), and CD3 will be rare and unreleased material that we have dug up from the vaults at Abbey Road. I will also be writing detailed sleeve notes for the release which should be out in the autumn of this year.
To explain... at the point of the band's split, we had completed four sessions for the fourth album, and were potentially going to go into the studio again to add a few extra songs. So the album wasn't fully completed as such, although there are more than enough tracks from which the CD1 of the forthcoming set will be compiled. New tracks appearing on 'Kleptomania' will include some of the songs that we played on the final tour in 2002, like 'Slipping Away', 'Keep Telling Myself' and 'Getting Your Way'. A full detailed running order of the whole album will be announced soon and as I get further down the road of putting this record together, I'll put up regular posts informing you of how it's progressing.

They are pretty under rated though.

I had heard of them many years ago when someone did me a casette with special/blown it on, which i liked but didn't think much of then I heard I can only disapoint you then I thought of going to check them out more and brought attack of the grey laterns and then six soon after :)

I was listening to 'Six' again the other day and it's just stunning. Not only Mansun's best but in my top 5 albums of all time.
Attack of the Grey Lantern is also great, but the work that was put into Six gives it the edge. Love some of the stuff on Kleptomania and would have been great to have heard a finished version.
