:D

I don't know. Some great tracks might come out between now and my death.

I'd probably chose citizen erased sadly enough

Or maybe Hallelujah by Buckley.

Something Clichéd (as far as this board is concerned anyway) probably.

Or perhaps Jeff Buckley's Hallelujah.

Or since it's my fave song in the world...Innuendo by Queen. :D

Mine might have to be something upbeat.

Maybe Pulp - common people, just because I'm listening to it now and it always makes me laugh

I don't know, but there was a bit in "deceased"-part of the newspaper once, about a boy aged 10 who had died... And there was a song that was quoted...

Kun aika on, tai muuten vaan
Tulee levottomat tuulet noutamaan
ja ne vie sinut mukanaan
En onneton oo kokonaan
Mut ne tuulet viheltää taas kutsuaan...

It makes me so sad now. :(

i think buckley's hallalujah is a given...

to add to the list, i want to hear:
ave maria, eagles' wing (both church songs)
coldplay: the scientist
beethoven: moonlight sonata i
muse: blackout, endlessly, shine, falling away...
ryan adams: wonderwall
radiohead: street spirit, lucky
smashing pumpkins: behold the nightmare!, 33, obscured, spaceboy
travis: falling down, indefinitely, driftwood
wonder years theme song...

i would include evanescence's my immortal, but that song is forever tied to the night we found out my friend's dad had a stroke and died. thats her song.

I already decided my funeral, and my mum has agreed to it.

I am first giving away all my organs and such to people who can make use of them, be they ill, morbid or cannibals.
Then, the little that is left of my body will be chopped up and put in a cereal packet to save on trees (I was thinking Cheerios, but my mum says that's too insensitive for such a sad occasion).

Then, since I am rather obsessed with pirates, I will be sent off to sea/lake/large body of water in a rowing boat or other such small sailing craft. This will be doused in petrol and set alight. Then finally, during my cremation, this song will be playing...

Sunburn.

Can you imagine?

Yes I'm pretty sure, go to www.everyhit.com and type in "Queen" in the artist section and it will come up with all their hits in order and when they charted and what no. they reached.
Note that Show Must Go On charts in October 1991, Freddie died in November, and in December the song suddenly re-entres the chart, most likely as a result of the death.

In fact, a lot of rage, such as Without a Face, wind below etc etc etc.
Basically just because you cant cry or be sad to taht stuff, and i dont want any of that shit when im dead.
I mean the lyrics just defy emotion other than anger-

Death Cab For Cutie: Transatlanticism

A song by the Cure... Treasure, from Wild Mood Swings.

She whispers,
'Please remember me
When I am gone from here'
She whispers,
'Please remember me
But not with tears...
Remember I was always true
Remember that I always tried
Remember I loved only you
Remember me and smile...
For it's better to forget
Than to remember me
And cry'

'Remember I was always true
Remember that I always tried
Remember I loved only you
Remember me and smile...
For it's better to forget
Than to remember me
And cry...'

Then I thought I'd have something wildly inappropriate instead, like perhaps "You make me feel like a natural woman". :D It'd get some laughs.

Three vastly different possibilities:
Miserere mei, Deus- beautiful but as the name suggests not likely to uplift.

Rhymes of an Hour, Mazzy Star- my Dad likes this song, and the line "I'm going home" might help the more devout half of the family.

Trains to Brazil, Guillemots- guilt them into cheering up. :D
