i am officially starting this thread (which i should have done long ago) for one of my favourite bands
any other Cradle fans out there?

i bought a limited edition of Cruelty and the Beast in '98 or something (it's a tombstone :D)
the lyrics make me go :LOL: a lot... the drummix isn't very good, but overall it's a cool album
that's the only Black Metal CD i've got, which doesn't qualify me as a fan i guess

yeah Damnation.....wasn't nearly as good as Midian or Cruelty........hopefully Nymphetamine will make up for it (when its out)
their early stuff is really rough sounding though but TPOEMF has some really nice instrumentals
I liked the guitar work on "her ghost in the fog" pitty the rest of the song sounded like a cat being microwaved.
I like them :)
how many vocalists is there in that band?

Hmm they're ok, not into the sort of music, I use to have a mate who loved them, we drove down to virgin in london for their signing :D
I got my old digi cam signed :D and randomly got to talk to the members of the band. Oh yes...my claim to fame :D

lol from what i hv heard, it sounds quite gd. i would give it another listen if i were u. i think i have 3 or 4 from that album and the songs have been produced so much better than the other albums.
I don't like 'em.
An old school mate of mine was mad on 'em.
He used to play it in his car all the time while driving like a mentalist.

They are truely awful. Dani is from Colchester which is about 20 mins drive from where I used to work. Steve, who I used to work with, lived in Colchester and was well into his metal, said that whenever Dani went into his local "rock" pub, (The Hole In The Wall in Colchester, for those who are interested), he'd get laughed straight back out again by the regulars. And apparantly he knows the grand sum of fuck all about satanism and can't answer any questions on his "beliefs" without being told what they are by his manager. Pathetic.
And the music is shite.

I used to have all their albums,all 13 then i sold them 'cause i got them bored of listening to them everyday but now i wish i hadn't!!! :( :(
They are a great band possibly the best album by them is Cruelty & the beast :)
They aren't that very good live though :(

Cruelty is good...I like them roundabout that time..they've gotten oh so slightly crap lately :(
Sadly I haven't seen them live..don't seem to come up here much. How are they so bad live?
I have the Pan deamon amon video & i has on it malice throught the looking glass, dusk & her embrace, beneath the howling stars & another song i can't remember but the sound is terrible, maybe it was because the vid is a bit old(i mean when they performed ages ago so they weren't that good, not the video quality itself lol), but hey they are still good!
The vid also has on it the cradel to enslave video with the censored version & the uncensored version :D , plus the making of the video, lol thats a bit boring though.
I think the best song they have done is most probably "Red roses for the devils whore" or "Lord abortion", although i love the cover of hallowed by thy name they done!! :happy: :)

i liked em ages ago in 2000/2001 because of the single "her ghost in the fog" and then stopped listening to them because they scared me and always thought of death when i listened to them, and i just back into them! there so good! "median" is there beest album

Haven't herd all that much... sounds very theatrical though. I wouldn't say they're too heavy... just slightly on the sadistically flamboyant side...

It's about a French serial killer called Gilles de Rais for anybody who didn't know.
It's actually like a musical film.
The first few tracks are about the birth of Gilles and the end is about the death, with his life portrayed by the tracks in between. It's interesting, to say the least.

Her Ghost In The Fog is pretty entertaining. But all in all they're a fairly weak black metal band.
