Blink made some good songs way back when but their new stuff is lame. They tried to do the grown up image thing but it doesn't ring true. Box Car Racer pulled it off better, provided you don't mind the sound of Tom DeLonges voice.

Just because a band talk to the crows doesn;t make them any decent live. I've seen a few bands how have talked to the croud and come off as total pricks. Blink work because they're bloody loud live. They play well on stage, and they've now started to calm down with the fart gags and just play more songs, whihc I think is a better idea.

yea, they were the first pop punk band i really liked. Years ago i thought of them as my fav. band (until i discovered Muse). Yea, im pretty upset they're on hiatus forever because its like i grew up with them. But hey, Travis Barker said they might get back together later on when they''re ready.

I'm glad they made their last album so well. It was really a good way to leave a last mark.


What's extremely sad is that this is only an example of what's going to happen to the rest of our loved bands. I mean, bands can't play forever, they have to stop sometime, and this is exactly what i mean. But the good thing is that they're music will forever live if they were really that good of a band to you.

Blink has to be one of my favorite bands after Muse and Foo Fighters. I just love listening to them...whatever you people may say, they really have made a lot of great material. Just some old songs with the old drummer always sounds the same. You can't forget "Carousel" though or "Always".
Oh and Mark sings better than Tom, live or album.

Just got back from glasgow WOW!

They were on top form tonight, both singing and banter with the fans. Unlike muse, they made a huge effort to actually talk to the crowd and they were hilarious at times.

Was a good setlist overall, obviously the hits such as rock show blah blah, but there was some golden oldies in there aswell.

A lot of it just reminded me of Tom's work in AVA. The only things that sound more Blink than AVA to me are Mark's vocals and the cool riff in the middle and end. It just lacks the attitude that Blink had even on their last album

I mean after 8 years and at their current age I don't expect them to keep churning out punk songs after punk songs, but Up All Night just sounds like it just doesn't have enough drive behind it

It's pretty good. Up All Night, Even If She Falls and Heart's All Gone are my faves so far. Overall it's not really a catchy record though and it sounds too much like Angels & Airwaves. Needs more Mark.
