it is a truly average album. i've listened to it a few times now, and barely anything stands out. it's a mesh of ordinary. the only tracks that i listen to over are track 8, and the last one.

i'm very dissapointed :(

They've got 3 proper albums. The Fall of Math, One Time for All Time and The Destruction of Small Ideas.

A couple of EPs - Stumble.Stop.Repeat. and Hole

Then the unreleased/unreleasable stuff, which I don't think you can get hard copies of anymore.
Volume 1: 65's.late.nite.double-a-side.college.cut-up.trailers.for.the.looped.future.
Volume 2: How I Fucked Off All My Friends
Volume 3: The Kids Have Eyes (DVD)

I know someone who has the DVD, but I'm not sure how he'd be able share that with me.

And the fan-remixed 65 Days Of War Of The Worlds album is amazing.

Wow. Saw them last night. The Mirimar Disaster and Josh T Pearson in support. Not bad. For screamo it was tolerable, and the acoustic man was hilarious. Plus, anyone playing acoustic with a fuzz pedal is awesome

As for 65days, we made them play 20 minutes extra  They played Retreat Retreat and another song after, for which we made the ultimate mosh pit, but when they came back out they did 2 quieter songs :(

Still, awesome gig, spent most of it on the barrier. Shame the bassist never smiles or anything, he just stands there looking almost bored. The drummer was erm, a bit too awesome too. How he does half of those beats i don't know.

it was an amazing gig, and my first time seeing them. support were amazing too, The Mirimar Disaster who reminded me of Isis but much heavier and a lot more riff based. then some solo guy played, he was from texas. he was dressed like a cowboy, singing the blues with his acoustic, it was really amazing but it was cut short due to technical difficulties and he looked a bit pissed off.

65 played about 13 songs i think, a few i didn't recognise from the new album as i've barely listened to it. i will a lot more now, as it kinda put it all into perspective for me. amazing

Liam
17-05-2007, 12:55 PM
Josh T Pearson - Cowboy man. They had technical difficulties the gig before Birmingham, they broke the piano and laptop. Thankfully it was fixed for that. Apparantly he did a 15 minute stand-up set seeing as he couldn't perform

Haha, I've still not got around to seeing Gay For Johnny Depp. Their name intrigues. Are Redjetson still about? I saw them supporting 65dos and they were just as awesome.

Gay For Johnny Depp are just short, shite bursts of punk. But they are funny, the frontman is a loon, and the bassist looks like he was from Gogol Bordello.

Redjetson...not sure about them.

Hmmm. I still haven't got any 65dos stuff tbh. I bet they've got twenty albums by now, always the way. I see a small band and forget to follow them and before I know it they're 20 albums and 4 stays in rehab into their career and I have loads of catching up to do.

You're close. They've released three albums.

If you find the first two albums, get those. The current one is a bit pants.

:noey: Knew it. I only saw the bastards three years ago, too. Bloody music industry moves far too quickly for me. Especially now I've become a Radio 2 girl . I've just realised that the only band I've kept absolutely up-to-date with EVER over the years is Muse. I have no idea why. And even with them I had a lapse in 2001 during which I didn't realise they were playing a gig in my hometown, and found out too late and couldn't get a ticket. I kicked myself for weeks.

Redjetson released a bit of a single a couple of months back I think, and have been in the studio and recording stuff. I'm thinking its cos they have day jobs that they haven't done loads. The album from the other year still sounds amzing though.

And to whoever asked, Yes, 65dos does have an EP out, its called "The distant and mechanised sounds of eastern european dance parties" and its bloody dancetastic.
