Pure genius, one of the pioneers of modern metal. Check out "Psalm 69" and "The Mind is a Terrible Thing To Taste".

Psalm 69 is a superb album.

I also recommend the extended version of Jesus Built My Hotrod.

I think Ministry should be appreciated more around here.

Just One Fix is a classic.

Whatever drug they were on when they made that song, somebody please shove more of it at them!
I like my growing "collection" of Ministry songs. :D

That song doesn't sound like the doings of a heroin addict (like Al Jourgensen)
It is rockin' :D

"In my dang a ding a ding a ding dong
A sticky sticky son of a gun
Ding a danga danga dong dong ding dong
Why why never know
Why why wack a dong a dang ding dong
Then you take it on the bill
Ding dang dong don’t dong
Whoa!"

The guy who did the vocals on that song is Gibby Haynes (sp?) from The Butthole Surfers. I highly recommend their album "Independent Worm Saloon", as it's got some rocking and amusing songs on.

You're right, it sounds like the doings of a 4 year old who stealthily exchanged the lyrics he wrote with his dad's. :D

 That band name! :D It's second only to "Halt's Maul oder ich hau dir was auf die Fresse du Penner" or whatever they were called. :D Thanks for the tip, I shall try not to forget to check them out. :)

Houses of the Molé is growing on me now. I'm really loving Worm, though it's the most mellow song I've ever heard them do.

Nice to see old Al hasn't lost any of his bile. :D

This week I've been mostly listening to Ministry.

The new album is a full on attack towards George Dubya. Which is cool. I have so much respect towards Al <3

A mate saw them in London on the earlier in the month (I really should have gone myself), and was very upset that they didn't do Jesus Built My Hotrod.

I'm starting to like a variety of their songs. I've had Effigy on my computer for ages, and recently dl'ed Every Day Is Halloween &Jesus Built My Hotrod... both great songs. The evolution of the band is quite interesting. Anyone like the early stuff? I think it's ace... fits right in w/ Bauhaus & Fad Gadget.

Ministry is coming to Finland on their C U LaTour, which is their farewell tour :'( I've yet to see them live and I'm SO going. Happy

Their last album was fantastic, they still sound so hard  If Roadhouse Blues has ever been covered so well, I haven't heard it.

Seriously, prog*--check them out--it's a requirement, mind! I suspect you've heard them and didn't know who they were--even what passes for alternative radio here occasionally gives 'Jesus Built My Hotrod' a spin (spin? makes it sound like it's still a RECORD, haha)

You'd better pretend well, or genuinely like them. I can smell fake Ministry-love

Never listened to "Land of..."but definitely agree about the others especially Psalm 69. The songs I love the most on "Mind"are "Thieves"and Breath"

I'll never forget what a disappointment "Filthpig"was considering how long it took them to release it. Just to show you how little I've followed of them since then I wasn't even sure they were still going.

Perhaps I should keep in touch!
