Er thanks, does this mean I have to get a round of drinks in?

Coz it's a tight week and I just had to throw a cat out of a window!
Ground floor don't panic!
Wasn't even my cat!

Come to think of it, wasn't my house either!

What's this all about coz I'm a bit lost?

Aww thanks.... :$

You want to hear about the madness, good grief where do I start?

It's all go here at the moment.
In between art projects, photo shoots, gigs, college, design projects and not forgetting cooking the dinner, I still manage to find just enough time to have the odd bizarre accident.
Latest one was landing in my dustbin after pogoing to System of a Down in my kitchen!
I'm going to be doing an action painting in a couple of weeks to music.
We get to pick three songs to do it to, I picked out the first one, just need to pick out the second and third.
:D
I hope everyone is ok.
(hugs to everyone)

Hi guys,

The Opus Trees gig was brill!!!

I'll write a report of what happened and post a link to it on here,
it's probably the most fun I've had with a camera without getting arrested!!!!!!!!

I'm really tired after this weekend, I seriously don't know how T.K. does it!
I could have done without the party on Saturday night though!

I hope everyone is OK, hugs all round.

Thanks for the hugs Mike.

LOL Feeling good!! Clever pun, love it.

Not feeling too good at the moment, had a death in the family.
Hence the lack of captions. Brain not up to it at the moment.

Saturday, the party I went to was like walking into hostile territory, where I was met with a nasty comment the moment I walked through the door.
I was tempted to turn round and walk back out, but being a bloody minded, stubborn Taurus I didn't! I stayed there and pissed them all off!
I won't be attending any more parties with THAT bunch of f###nuts again, that's for sure!

Jupiter_Moonchild
10-11-2004, 10:15 AM
Feeling better since I sent a rather snotty email
to the 'friend' that upset me.
(And I use the term 'friend' very loosely)
It ended with one of my fave Withnail and I quotes:

"You can shove it up your a### for nothing
and f### off while you're doing it!"

Tip for the day, don't try and play guitar straight after a bath, it hurts yer fingers.
My art course work is almost on schedule, I hit a patch of writers block last night with the ideas for an image but was back on track today.

I'm in here just chilling now, brain needed a break from all the guache paint!

I've picked out the three songs for the action painting,
I was going to go with three System of a Down tracks
but I've decided to go with three Muse songs!
Mostly because the tempo chops and changes and the tunes aren't cacophonic!

Black Mamba
10-11-2004, 10:20 AM
yay a new quote...i can have it huh?

Jupiter_Moonchild
10-11-2004, 10:26 AM
I suppose you could, it's not my quote it's from a film, (Withnail and I)
probably one of the most quotable films ever.
Cult film set in 1969 about two struggling actors.
Other funny quotes include:
"If I medicined you, you'd think a brain tumour was a birthday present!"

"Get in the back of the van!"

"My thumbs have gone weird!"

"Why did you drug their onions?"

"Aren't you getting absurdly high?"....."That is precisely why I am smoking it!"

Jupiter_Moonchild
10-11-2004, 10:29 AM
I think I may have watched the film about 85 times now!
It never gets boring!

Another funny bit is when they turn up at an old house, can't find any firewood and one says to the other, "Go out and see if there's any wood in the shed, if you can't find anything, Bring in the shed!!"

Black Mamba
10-11-2004, 10:32 AM

Jupiter_Moonchild
10-11-2004, 10:41 AM
I think it's out on dvd now but I taped it off Channel 4
so I have to track it in everytime I play it now
coz it's looking a bit ropy where I've played it so much.

It's SO my sense of humour!
It has Richard E. Grant and Paul McGann as the two leading characters.

I've got to disappear, my guitars are calling me, they're feeling a bit neglected since I've been busy with other things.

Poor Betsyboo and Shufflebutt!!

I think you can download it!

I had an eventfull day, I fell on my arse!

Spent £500 on a proper drum kit for my kid, it gets delivered on tuesday, there goes my peace and tranquility!

I also got him Halo 2 while I was out, as I had just enough money left over, I got 10% off as well coz I have a student card. So it only cost me £34.99!!!

I'm now, skint but happy!

Jupiter_Moonchild
14-11-2004, 10:25 PM
Yes hopefully, once I get this lot scanned and onto a disc,
I will upload them to my website. (I'll put a link on here as well)
I've just paid out for a brand new camera,
it wasn't the one I was going to buy originally
but I actually liked the look of this one better!
The other camera looked ugly, mean and pissed off!
I've got a Minolta, Dinax 40. Cost £129.99 and he threw in a few bits and bobs for free as well, I think he was flirting with me!

Lots of buttons, loads of functions to help me get Dale
doing a flying leap off the stage and the zoom will help
me get a proper close up of Billy on the drums.
Brett is probably the easiest one in the band to photograph
because he doesn't leap about too much.

Don't worry about the age mistake, a lot of people that
actually meet me think I'm quite young.
It's rather funny to see the looks on people's faces when
I tell them how old I am, there's the look of surprise,
followed by disbelief, then the argument of: "No way!"
or the classic "I don't believe you, prove it!"

Flattering sometimes but annoying when trying to buy
fireworks on Nov 5 or trying to get served at the bar.
My height doesn't help matters either as I stopped growing
at the age of 12 and I am now shrinking!
It's all funny though!

Lol, hope you didn't hurt yourself!

I'm seriously accident prone a lot of the time.Apparently (So my pal says)
clumsiness is due to either, lack of sleep, or lack of concentration!

I had about three accident last nite in the Tap 'n' Tin.

Blimey, you need to strap a cushion to your bum!
I used to go ice skating a lot but the arthritis stops me from doing it now, the cold affects me and I end up in too much pain!

Now I can add camera related injuries to the list.
I managed to smack myself in the mouth with my camera lens
this evening and split my bottom lip, then while trying to find
cotton wool to clean up the blood, I couldn't open the cupboard
and punched myself in the face!

Hiya, been out taking more photos of the band tonight,
the gig was great, lead singer was drunk because
it was also his birthday, the drummer kept running
off to get peanuts (after the gig, not during) and
it all ended in us throwing peanuts at each other.

Tried out my new camera tonight, got a few probs
I need to sort out with it, like why do I have to wait
five seconds after I press the button for the
camera to take the damn picture???

I'm really tired it's been a long day, hope to be
awake long enough tomorrow to log on.
Then I'll write up another report on the website.

Hiya, sorry I've not been on,
was ill after walking back at 2am in the freezing cold.
Also had a bit of a problem this morning when I woke
up and all down my left side I couldn't move it properly.
I had a nasty trapped nerve in my neck and it was
really painful.
My left leg wouldn't support my weight
when I got out of bed and I fell on my arse!
Then I had trouble holding a cup in my left hand.
Being left handed it kind of pissed me off a bit!
It's easing off a bit now, and it made me sit down
for a few hours today, which is something I rarely
get a chance to do unless I'm on the internet.
(I monitor three boards and I'm organizer of one of them on Feesch)
My kid and his two pals had band practice upstairs,
so it was quite noisey here for a while.
I finally got some feeling back in the left side of my body
around mid-day so I was able to get back to writing.
I haven't had a chance to write up a report of the
accoustic night yet, but we've all decided that we have to
send each other texts on the mobiles if it snows, because
we want a photo shoot in the snow before it all melts!
So far, no snow, but it's bloody cold enough!

Hi Kaddy,
I'm all better now, (touch wood) and I just got another two sets of photos back from the developers.
I LOVE MY NEW CAMERA!
The pics are so clear and sharp it's like I was up on stage with them rather than 10 feet away.
I've got to sort out some from the photo shoot that I did with them for my own website so you can see what they look like.
I'll post the link on here as soon as it's done!

Here's a funny for you that I got in an email!

A College professor was doing a study testing the senses of first graders,
using a bowl of sweets.
The children began eating the sweets and identifying the flavors saying:
"Red............cherry,"
"Yellow.........lemon,"
"Green..........lime,"
"Orange........orange."
Finally the professor gave them all honey sweets.
After eating them for a few moments, none of the children could identify the taste.
Well," he said "I'll give you all a clue, It's what your mother may
sometimes call your father."
One little girl looked up in horror, spit her sweet out and yelled:
"Oh My God!! They're assholes!"

Love yah too kaddy

I'm more worried about him losing his voice at the moment,
he was singing a song that they all wrote together and was
screaming his tits off at the end.

I took some photos of them all earlier today,
Matt was on top of Carl, then Graham was on top of him
and Matt ended up with Graham's sock in his eye,
Carl was a bit squashed under the two of them!
It looked like a rugby scrum!

Graham was at a school disco on Friday night and
got asked out by loads of girls because he had blue and red hair!

I'll have to look into getting some proper webspace that hosts videos and movie clips.
I have a shed load of TFF and Cure vids on a disc somewhere,
I've also got a few rare Bjork clips of live performances.
I love Bjork! (I sound like such a groupie now) but making a musical instrument out of a cheese grater, two spoons, the shelf from the fridge and a glass bowl is definitely different!

the "cheese grater, spoons, fridge's shelf and glass bowl" makes me think of the triplets from belleville, totally different music but genious !

Blimey, I only have two albums on cd the rest of the stuff by her that i have is bootleg stuff on computer disc.
I've got Debut and homogenic.
Got her doing a live performance for comic relief a few years back and have a few vids of her on vhs that I can't be bothered to mpeg! I managed to get a live interview of her on vhs as well, telling the interviewer about her 'new' album which turned out to be homogenic!

My Tears For Fears collection however is huge!
Including almost all the singles on vinyl,, interviews on audio and video. Three concert videos, Two album videos, all the magazines they appeared in back in the 80s, (Smash Hits magazines, Number one magazines, Official TFF magazine) Original posters. I even got to see them live at Knebworth in 1990 at the silver clef award winners concert!

Wow, I'm a sad loser!

I've got Vespertine as a bootleg, along with a live version of Pagan poetry at the letterman show!

Tears for fears albums:
The Hurting.*
Songs from the big chair.*
Seeds of love.*
Elemental.*
Raoul and the Kings.
Tom cats screaming.
Everybody loves a happy ending.

The ones with * next to them I have on CD, I have a bootleg of Raoul and the Kings but I can't get hold of the other two albums for love nor money!
What really gets on my nerves, is they came from England in the first place and buggered off to America and left behind all the fans.
They got so up their own backsides it's painful, plus recently inQ magazine Roland said that word I don't like so he needs a slap!
I used to be a bit of a groupie with that band, but after I read about the way they treated their fans backstage, I kind of grew up!
I promised myself I would never get that obsessed with a band again!
I can't remember the last time I looked on their website or even listened to their music!

For those that like a laugh!!!
A doctor at an insane asylum decided to take his patients to a baseball game. For weeks in advance, he coached his patients to respond to his commands. When the day of the game arrived, everything seemed to be going well. As the National Anthem started......... the doctor yelled, "Up Nuts" and the patients complied by standing up. After the anthem...he yelled, "Down Nuts" and they all sat back down in their seats. After a home run was hit, the doctor yelled, "Cheer Nuts." They all broke out into applause and cheered. When the umpire made a bad call against the star of the home team, the doctor yelled, "Booooo Nuts!!!" and they all started booing and cat calling. Thinking things were going very well, the doctor decided to go get a beer and a hot dog, leaving his assistant in charge. When he returned, there was a riot in progress. Finding his assistant, the doctor asked, "What in the world happened?" The assistant replied, "Well, everything was going just fine till a vendor passed by and yelled peanuts!"

Everything would be just fine if I didn't
have a bloody stalker.
I don't know why but he appeared out
of nowhere again and started harassing
me in the street when I was on my way
to my mother's house this morning.
I didn't mention it to my mum because
today is her birthday and I didn't want to
worry her.
I've got to the point where I'm wary when
I leave the house. It was bad enough getting
mobbed by a big bunch of French students
a couple of months back but this is getting personal!

Ness

Thanks Ness, the thing with the stalker guy has
been going on for a few years now but the thing with
the french students has only happened twice and is a
new thing! Not so scary as they just thrust bits of paper
in my face and jabbered something in french at me.
Frustrating coz I understand a tiny bit of Italian
but not a bloody word of french!

I've had the police involved in the past and all they did
was give me an incident number and tell me to ring if he
actually physically hurts me! "SO WOW thanks Mr policeman,
I'll wait till the guy hits me or blows my head off before I call you!"

You just can't get the staff these days!

He grabbed me once and I threw him into the road to defend myself,
(which surprised me when I sat and thought about it later,
he must be at least 6 feet tall and I'm nearly 5 feet tall.)
and I later heard he filed a complaint against ME saying I attacked HIM!
If you ever saw how tiny I am you'd know that was laughable.
The police didn't take him seriously, knowing him to be a bit off
his nut and a care in the community person who shouldn't be let out!
He's fixated with me because I look like someone he knew years
ago. Trouble is, she's dead so he's now obsessed with ME.

I almost feel sorry for him but he scared the crap out of my
son once and I am extremely protective of my little boy.
Anyone upsets or hurts my kid and I see it happen gets
the full force of my anger!

There was a blind man who decided to visit Texas.

When he arrived on the plane, he felt the seats and said, "Wow, these seats are big!" The person next to him answered, "Everything is big in Texas."

When he finally arrived in Texas, he decided to visit a bar. Upon arriving in the bar, he ordered a beer and got a mug placed between his hands. He exclaimed, "Wow these mugs are big!" The bartender replied, "Everything is big in Texas."

After a couple of beers, the blind man asked the bartender where the bathroom was located. The bartender replied, "Second door to the right." The blind man headed for the bathroom, but accidentally tripped over and skipped the second door. Instead, he entered the third door, which lead to the swimming pool and fell into the pool by accident. Scared to death, the blind man started shouting, "Don't flush, don't flush!"

exchange students with notepads stop me from doing
what I need to do.
Although I won't be going through the
main Tourist spot next weekend as it's the Dicken's Festival,
too many people about.
It normally only takes me about 25 to 30 mins to get from one
end of Rochester High Street to the other without any
problems, but it can take up to an hour when the tourists are
in town. It's a bloody nightmare!

How you doing then?

When the Pop Art project is done, I'll take a photo of it
and post it on here.
It wont be for a few weeks though.
We get given a limited amount of material and a subject
and thats our test.
I've got to make something out of two square sheets of
Vaccuum forming plastic, 500mm by 500mm, a sheet of
aliminium 500mm by 500mm and a length of steel rod.
We have to use at least a piece of each of the bits of material
and it has to be either a light structure, a container or a bauble!

Sounds easy but it's not and I have to do it in the style of Pop Art.
So far though, I'm having a great time!

Right I'm off for now. I might not be around till Saturday night as I
have a few important things that needs seeing to!
Have a good weekend people if I don't see you before!

George Wubyah Bush goes to a primary school to talk about the war. After his talk he opens the floor to questions. One little boy puts up his hand and George asks him what his name is.
"Billy."
"And what is your question, Billy?"

"I have 3 questions.
First, why did the USA invade Iraq without the support of the UN?
Second, why are you President when Al Gore got more votes?
And third, whatever happened to Osama Bin Laden?"
Just then the bell rings for recess. George Bush informs the kiddies that they will continue after recess.

When they resume George says, "OK, where were we? Oh! That's right! - Question time. So who has a question?" Another little boy puts up his hand. George points him out and asks him what his name is.
"Steve"
"And what is your question, Steve?"

"I have 5 questions.
First, why did the USA invade Iraq without the support of the UN?
Second, why are you President when Al Gore got more votes?
Third, whatever happened to Osama Bin Laden?
Fourth, why did the recess bell go 20 minutes early?

Saturday started off a bit hectic, I had three kids instead of just
my one, he had two pals sleep over.
So three breakfast to sort out.
Then he went off to town with his pals to buy something with his
pocket money, so I run myself a bath thinking I'd get a nice soak
in the tub without the constant "MUUUUM"

No such luck, I'd just got in and there was a bang on the door.
My pal had turned up with a new washing machine for me.
By the time he was done swapping the machines over my bath
was cold lol. So I had to run another one.

I've been giving an old guitar a paint job today. It's now black
with silver lightning bolts and silver flames on it.
Simple but effective. Only problem is, I didn't read the tin, it's
meant to be used in a well ventilated room and I'm a bit light
headed now!

 He has ur phone number?

Not the old guy that stalks me, the younger more scary one.
The problem I have is having to give my number out for selling
my artwork. I think he may have got it when I dropped off my
number at the local gallery a few years ago when I first started
selling paintings and drawings.
I remember someone lurking around behind me when I was
telling the woman my phone number!
Shortly after that the weirdness started.
Midnight phone calls with silence on the other end, heavy breathing,
scratching sounds, tapping, coughing.
Then it got sinister when he actually spoke to me and said,
'Nice red top you are wearing!'
I WAS wearing a red top and it freaked me out.
I've moved a few times since then.
But I have to keep the same phone number because of all the
contacts I would lose if I changed it!

Who says we don't suffer for our art?

It was opening night at the theatre and the Amazing Claude was topping the bill.

People came from miles around to see the famed hypnotist do his stuff.

As Claude took to the stage, he announced, "Unlike most stage hypnotists who invite two or three people up onto the stage to be put into a trance, I intend to hypnotize each and every member of the audience."

The excitement was almost electric as Claude withdrew a beautiful antique pocket watch from his coat. I want you each to keep your eye on this antique watch. It's a very special watch. It's been in my family for six generations."

He began to swing the watch gently back and forth while quietly chanting, "Watch the watch, watch the watch, watch the watch...."

The crowd became mesmerized as the watch swayed back and forth, light gleaming off its polished surface. Hundreds of pairs of eyes followed the swaying watch, until suddenly it slipped from the hypnotist's fingers and fell to the floor, breaking into a hundred pieces.

"Sh*t!" said the hypnotist.

It took three weeks to clean up the theatre.

There was once a great actor, who had a problem. He could no longer remember his lines. Finally after many years he finds a theatre where they are prepared to give him a chance to shine again.

The director says, "This is the most important part, and it has only one line, you must walk on to the stage carrying a rose, you must hold the rose with just one finger and your thumb to your nose, sniff the rose deeply and then say the line 'Ah, the sweet aroma of my mistress.'"

The actor is thrilled. All day long before the play he's practicing his line over and over again. Finally the time came. The curtain went up, the actor walked onto the stage, and with great passion delivered the line; "Ah, the sweet aroma of my mistress".

The theatre erupted, the audience was screaming with laughter and the director was steaming! "You bloody fool!" he cried, "You have ruined me!"

The actor was bewildered, "What happened, did I forget my line?" He asked.

"No!" the director screamed, "You forgot the bloody rose!"

Luke and Obi-Wan are in a Chinese restaurant having a meal. Skilfully using his chopsticks, Obi-Wan deftly dishes himself a large portion of noodles into his bowl, then tops it off with some chicken and cashew nuts. All this is done with consummate ease you'd expect from a Jedi Master.

Poor old Luke is having a nightmare, using his chopsticks in both hands, dropping his food all over the table and eventually, himself.

Obi-Wan looks at Luke disapprovingly and says, “Use the FORKS, Luke.“

Beethoven's Death

When Beethoven passed away, he was buried in a churchyard. A couple days later, the town drunk was walking through the cemetery and heard some strange noise coming from the area where Beethoven was buried. Terrified, the drunk ran and got the priest to come and listen to it. The priest bent close to the grave and heard some faint, unrecognisable music coming from the grave.

Frightened, the priest ran and got the town magistrate. When the magistrate arrived, he bent his ear to the grave, listened for a moment, and said, “Ah, yes, that's Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, being played backwards.“

He listened a while longer, and said, “There's the Eighth Symphony, and it's backwards, too. Most puzzling.“ So the magistrate kept listening, “There's the Seventh... the Sixth...the Fifth...“

Suddenly the realization of what was happening dawned on the magistrate. He stood up and announced to the crowd that had gathered in the cemetery, “My fellow citizens, there's nothing to worry about. It's just Beethoven decomposing.“

 Pretty fkin scary =/ ...Get a whistle...Next time he does it blow as hard as u can down the phone ;)

And don't be sorry for talking to much.
I'm exactly the same, I think we both did about 1 and a half hours
each so it's not so bad if you look at it like that!

Hehehehe

Hrhrhr...I thought we did very well for our convo we had earlier...Weren`t that long on the phone at all!! *gives us both a pat on the back* ;)

It's better than great it's my first BIG gig since 1992, all the others I've been to have been tribute bands; Utter Madness, Counterfiet Stones, Boogie Brothers, unsigned bands and my pals bands, Drop my Girlfriend, Opus Trees and Pigs don't shag.
Last huge gig I went to was Knebworth in 1990 and I had to share a field with 250,000 other people! Then after that it was at the central hall where I saw Sweet and Mud!

I got the link to this interview, don't know if there's a thread on it already so I posted it in here so I don't get screamed at! : http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/nm/20041210/review_nm/review_music_muse_dc_1

A farmer called out the vet to look at his prize bull.

"He's not performing his duties with the cows" says the farmer "You know, not servicing them, like..... Last time he was like this you gave me some pills for him"

"Were they big red pills?" asked the vet

"Can't remember" said the farmer "... but they tasted of aniseed"

Got this, its so funny!

http://www.pure80spop.co.uk/looklike.htm

The sad thing is I used to have the pic of Simon Le Bon on my wall,
but that's not as bad as the posters of Tears For Fears!
I recognise the Toyah pic, I think it was on the cover of
Thunder in the Mountains!
She did some pretty cool songs back then!

Hi Ness,
I've been up to all kinds of things, mostly getting my art project
up to date. I'm really enjoying the creative roll I'm on at the moment,
I had writers flood but it's calmed down now and I can just get to
grips with three ideas for three different things a day.
Going to try and get some recording done tomorrow if I can fit it in
with everything else.
Opus Trees are having a break until after Christmas
and then they are gigging again in January.
I won't be taking photos at the January gig, I'm going along
to just watch them play this time,
unless they rope me in lol.

Hi Muscle Mikez,
I'm fine-ish, passed out this morning but managed to miss any
sharp objects. This is what happens when you forget to eat for
three days and don't get any sleep for 36 hrs!
Don't worry I've eaten something now and I WILL go to sleep
when I go to bed tonight instead of sitting up all night writing songs!

I think he's been in my house.
About three weeks ago now, I only just put 2 and 2 together!
I'm not certain it was him as I was out when he arrived, My mate was here I was only going to be out for an hour.
When I got back she told me a guy had called to look at the back window.
I had not called anyone about the back window, there's nothing wrong with it.
I went round and locked ALL the windows when she told me this.
It could have been someone for next door but I don't want to take any chances!
I have a nasty feeling it was him though!
Oh well I'll just have to move again!!!

I got this from a pal, it made me laugh, especially the last bit!!!

Humourous view on Christmas eating tips from our transatlantic cousins...
1. Avoid carrot sticks. Anyone who puts carrots on a holiday buffet table knows nothing of the Christmas spirit. In fact, if you see carrots, leave immediately. Go next door, where they're serving rum balls.

2. Drink as much eggnog as you can. And quickly. Like fine single-malt scotch, it's rare. In fact, it's even rarer than single-malt scotch. You can't find it any other time of year but now. So drink up! Who cares that it has 10,000 calories in every sip? It's not as if you're going to turn into an eggnog-aholic or something. It's a treat. Enjoy it. Have one for me. Have two. It's later than you think. It's Christmas!

3. If something comes with gravy, use it. That's the whole point of gravy. Gravy does not stand alone. Pour it on. Make a volcano out of your mashed potatoes. Fill it with gravy. Eat the volcano. Repeat.

4. As for mashed potatoes, always ask if they're made with skim milk or whole milk. If it's skim, pass. Why bother? It's like buying a sports car with an automatic transmission.

5. Do not have a snack before going to a party in an effort to control your eating. The whole point of going to a Christmas party is to eat other people's food for free. Lots of it. Hello?

6. Under no circumstances should you exercise between now and New Year's. You can do that in January when you have nothing else to do. This is the time for long naps, which you'll need after circling the buffet table while carrying a 10-pound plate of food and that vat of eggnog.

7. If you come across something really good at a buffet table, like frosted Christmas cookies in the shape and size of Santa, position yourself near them and don't budge. Have as many as you can before becoming the center of attention. They're like a beautiful pair of shoes. If you leave them behind, you're never going to see them again.

8. Same for pies. Apple. Pumpkin. Mincemeat. Have a slice of each. Or, if you don't like mincemeat, have two apples and one pumpkin. Always have three. When else do you get to have more than one dessert? Labor Day?

9. Did someone mention fruitcake? Granted, it's loaded with the mandatory celebratory calories, but avoid it at all cost. I mean, have some standards.

10. One final tip: If you don't feel terrible when you leave the party or get up from the table, you haven't been paying attention. Reread tips; start over, but hurry, January is just around the corner.

I love going to places and taking loads of pics.
I don't think we're allowed cameras at EC so I'm leaving my new

I spent too much money on it to have it get broken at a gig.
The only gigs I take it to are the Opus Trees ones because
that's what I'm there for.

ABBA!!!! I will admit, I went to see an Abba Tribute band a few

"Just lay back and take it easy. I'll do the rest."

"I'm in the mood for a little dark meat."

"How long do I beat it before it's ready?"

"Use a nice, smooth stroke when you whip it."

"Don't play with your meat."

"Just spread the legs open and stuff it in."

"How long will it take after you stick it in?"

"You'll know when it's ready when it pops up."

"If I don't undo my pants, I'll burst!"

"That's the biggest one I've ever seen!"

"Do you think you'll be able to handle all these people at once?"

"I didn't expect everyone to come at once!"

"It's Cool Whip time!"

"Are you ready for seconds yet?"

I've been to a few tribute bands.
My fave has got to be Utter Madness.
After they've done their gig they walk around in the crowd
saying hi to everyone and drinking their wine!
It was at Bodium Castle which was great because you set up

Who's Hal? *paranoid*

Jupiter_Moonchild
17-12-2004, 09:56 PM
HAL is the ship's computer that was responsible for
Frank Poole's death in 2001 the Space Odyssey.
It's a Sci-Fi Book and also a Film. I've just finished
reading 3001 The final Odyssey, I didn't read 2010
as I have the film instead.
I'm a bit of a fan of Arthur C. Clarke ever since I used
to watch his TV series called Mysterious Worlds!

HAL was later made into a kind of pun when Red Dwarf
called their onboard computer Holly, HOL for short.

HAL was like Big Brother, cameras EVERYWHERE and it
controlled 99% of the ship's functions, including airlocks
and oxygen pressure!

Spooky huh?

Ness

Oh I've seen that movie I think....I found it soo bizarre! I remember there was this whole section of the space ship just floating through space with no talking or anything and I got annoyed and stopped watching it. It may have been a different movie...I dunno
Have you read any books by John Christopher? He always writes about that sort of futuristic stuff like people being controlled by some higher being but its sort of different  I'm really bad at explaining stuff...but theres this book called 'The Lotus Caves" and I love it cos its so weird

Jupiter_Moonchild
18-12-2004, 12:07 AM
No not read that book, but there was a book I was reading when I was a young'un call The Chrysalyds, or something like that.
It was about 20 years ago I read it, but it always stuck in my mind.

The story was set in post apocolyptic times.
There was a village in the valley and everytime a child was
born it would be checked by the local Vicar/clergy.
(not sure what he was but he seemed to be in control of the town.)
If the child had a deformity or something, he would say the child
had been stillborn and the child would mysteriously vanish.
In truth the family had to give the child up to be sent to the
'Fringes' which was the outer part of the valley.
There were other people there that took the children and
raised them as their own.
Long story short, the boy who was the main character was
telepathic, he was talking to someone miles away with his mind.
Town guy found out, he tried to have him banished blah blah blah,
but the fight for survival and finding other people with
telepathic powers was enough to keep me reading the book
right to the end.
I wish I knew who wrote it!

Ness
18-12-2004, 02:34 AM
Oh I love books like that, I'm such a geek! I'll look out for it. I've just remembered this fantastic book that sounds quite similar called 'The Giver' by Lois Lowry, if you haven't read it, READ IT! Its soooo good, its about this boy who lives in this town where everything is so controlled that no-one can even see in colour, and there's this one man who holds all of the memories of happiness and pain and stuff like that, and everyone is assigned a role, and this one boy is destined to be trained to be the next 'Receiver', the one who holds memories, and 'The Giver' is the old man who 'gives' all these memories to him to look after so that they can't escape and cause people to act unpredictably...ok i'm making it sound crap but its it soooooooo good. It won all sorts of awards I think.

Jupiter_Moonchild
18-12-2004, 11:09 PM
I think I might have read something similar to that.
It was a story about a lad that had to take the power from the
old man that made everyone believe they were in a really plentiful
place but in reality they were all in a desolate land and starving.

Another of my fave books to reads are ones illustrated by Neil Gaimen,
I think I have read all the Sandman books now and all the Bingdings
books as well.
They are very addictive.
I especially like the fact that DEATH is a female anthropomorphic
figure and that Neil Gaimen modelled her on Tori Amos!

That's a bummer that you were so far away, but still, YOU GOT TO SEE MUSE! Lucky bugger! heh, only 2 and a half days till Christmas!! I"m so excited, even though its supposed to be summer and we've had a thunderstorm and hail and its freezing today. :D

Didn't actually SEE them, more kind of HEARD them and saw them on the medium screen. (Won't credit it with the word BIG)
I've been thinking about it all day and I WAS thinking of going to another Muse gig when they tour again, but I know my luck will be to end up at the back again so I don't think I'll bother.

I'm going to stick to bands/shows that book the Central Hall near me, It's one of those place where it don't matter where you sit, you SEE everything!
It's not too many people and they organise people coming in and going out in clockwork fashion. Never known there to be a balls up yet.

I saw Sweet, Mud, Norman Wisdom,(don't ask) The Shakespear pisstake, can't remember what they were called but they were bloody hilarious, The New Seekers and Fairport Convention there.

oh bugger, that really does suck. i always wonder why they don't make the screens bigger at gigs like that

I can't understand why they use postage stamps
for screens either.
I was at Knebworth in 1990; right at the back on top
of a lorry of all things; but the screens were enormous
and I could see everything.
Also being so far back at the Muse gig, by the time the
sound got to us, it was out of sync with the screens!
Only by a fraction but it was enough to make it feel less
real if you know what I mean.
Don't get me wrong, I bloody enjoyed being there just to HEAR
them do the little intros and piano riffs that you don't get on
albums but I don't think I'll do it again unless it's at a festival.
The seats at the back of Earls were facing the wrong way.
They were at a 90 degree angle to the stage, so when
everyone stood up, they were all on the same level as me,
instead of being able to see over their heads.
THAT'S what sucked more than anything!
Earl's is the wrong venue for this band!
In the end I just shut me eyes and danced the night
away, it was a case of, "well I'm here now I can either sit
and sulk,! (like the girl in the row by me did all night) "or just
make the best of a bad situation."

carla,how are you today?*hugs*
I'm ok, wish I could have got some pics of Dom for you.
I thought I could get one of the screen with Dom on but
just as I clicked the camera this BOZO stuck his head right
in the way. I could have killed him!

Right, from here on in I can't talk about Earl's Court anymore
coz it's making me want to cry so I'm changing the subject
to something happier.

My Best friend is now a great Aunty at just 35!!!!!
Her niece Lisa had a baby boy, he weighed about 9lb I think,
I didn't get all the details and she's called him Conner Dylan.
I'm going round there to take some decent pics when he get's
back out of hospital.
He had to go back in because of a stomach problem.

How is everyone else today!!???
Hugs all round!! :D

Hunny bunny it's not your fault, It's the venue organisers,
they didn't think about the view when they put the seats
at a 90 degree angle to the stage.
You did help, I wouldn't have ever been able to get tickets

I just think Earls should have put a bit more effort into it.

Has anyone got the lyrics to Futurism and Spiral Static?

Ness
23-12-2004, 10:20 PM
FUTURISM

Ignorance pulls
Apostasy and apathy still rules
Yeah you know it´s cool
Just suck and see
A future turns us into silent gods
And I won´t miss you at all

Grounded
Boxed in
Like the evil in your veins
Grounded
Boxed in
I am stuck with you

Fate can´t decide
Alignment of the plan is in your hands
Come on crush our plans
Just wait and see
A future that won´t let you disagree
And I won´t miss you at all

Grounded
Boxed in
Like the evil in your veins
Grounded
Boxed in
I am stuck with you

Feel it, hear it, apathy
See it, be it, you’ll see

SPIRAL STATIC
Who's ever known
How much to moan and groan
And quiver inside
He needs to give you
Everything you need
Is it enough

You're running out of time
As it grows in your eye
Feel broken inside you feel

Sigh, static moans
A storm growing strong
And it's coming my way
Still she gives you
Everything you need
Is it enough

You're running out of time
As it grows in your eye
You'll feel broken inside
You'll feel
And I'll feel broken inside you

Feel..

There ya go! www.inmuseworld.net has all the lyrics and stuff like that

Lol thanks for that it was great fun reading your answers.

Feesch is an internet message board that's for Uk icq users.
It's run by someone called Lizardman, his real name is Jason.
I've met him about three times now I think.
The first time I met him I couldn't believe how tiny he was.
They hold a lot of meetings all over the country, it's a kind of internet community. I'm in charge of one board and assistant to two others.
Don't worry though, you aren't missing much!

You're right about it taking ages to fill in, I did mine over a few
days the first time I filled it out.
The one on here is cut and pasted straight from the Feesch site,
I need to change the answers to more up to date ones, as I change
my mind a lot about faves and things.

Toward the end of the service, the Minister asked his congregation, "How many of you have forgiven your enemies?"

About half held up their hands.

He then repeated his question. As it was past lunchtime, this time about 80 percent held up their hands.

The Minister then repeated his question a third time. All responded this time, except one small elderly lady.

"Mrs. Jones?" inquired the preacher; "Are you not willing to forgive your enemies?"

"I don't have any." She replied, smiling sweetly.

"Mrs. Jones, that is very unusual. How old are you?"

"Ninety-three." She replied.

"Oh Mrs. Jones, what a blessing and a lesson to us all you are. Would you please come down in front of this congregation and tell us all how a person can live ninety-three years and not have in enemy in the world.

The little sweetheart of a lady tottered down the aisle, faced the congregation, and said: "I outlived the bitches."

It's from ace ventura, when he says "Why don't you cry about it, saddlebags?!" and its funnier when my friend Erin says it because she does the best accents. like I dropped some food and I went 'Ohhhh" and erin goes 'Why dont you cry about it, saddlebags!" and it was funny. Famous??
Not me! (I couldn't handle it)

It's difficult to describe but where I live, quite a lot of
people know me, sometimes total strangers say:
'Hi Carla' and I don't have a clue who they are.
I wouldn't class it as famous, I just think people
remember me because I do weird stuff and I get noticed doing it!
It freaks me out when I get mobbed by a crowd,
my first instinct is to run and hide!

Opus Trees got aired on XFM ages ago.
I think they had a single in an online chart but I'm not sure
which one, it's on their website though.
I just take the photos and listen to their music,
which is abso-fraggin-lutely brilliant!!

Jupiter_Moonchild
30-12-2004, 11:56 PM
The hammer on is where you hit the frets with your
finger and don't actually finger pick the string.
On an electric you still get the note!
I noticed he strums the strings with his right hand
from behind the fret board while waving his left hand in the air!
It's mental trying to do it the speed he does it!

Here are some of the other pics I drew, they're all on my website.

You mean the pic of Sid Barrett? He was the founder
member of Pink Floyd then he went a bit mental and
became a recluse. He couldn't handle fame and I think
I read somewhere that he was doing drugs that messed

The BFG!!! I have to admit I was really laughing my socks

Yeah almost, I can play it on keyboard too
but not at the speed he does it.
It sounds eerie if you play it on a brass penny whistle as well.
Trouble is I need a new one because some bozo trod on it

not throwing it out as it makes great sound effects, like ghosts talking.

No, it's not the sort of thing I'm used to.
The chat room I used to go in every night doesn't
exist anymore and I miss all my old net friends.
We used to have big room meets and I have photos
of them all, I got to know them all, but when the chat
room broke we all found it hard to keep in touch.
Strange as it seems, I went in there at the age of 31 and
they were all in their 40s so they all used to be a bit
protective of me, well the women did, I suppose I miss
the motherly ones!

Now I get treated like an idiot or an outsider by the people
in this chat room, it's like being back at bloody school!
I'm 35 but the one that picked on me tonight made me feel
like an 8 year old!
I hope he gets a HUGE spot right on his bum!!!!
