I'm gonna buy it if I get enough christmas money I think...

I checked into it and it looks like things have been changed a bit for UK shipping. Does this help reduce the shipping price on your end?

From Null:

Problems with our international store launch forced us to re-direct people to purchase from Null where there was only an option to ship from the US. This has resulted in higher than intended shipping costs for some non-US sales. Overseas customers who purchased from Null with less favorable currency exchange will be rebated the difference in shipping costs in the form of a discount on their purchase. Specific timing and process of this rebate will be posted within 48 hours.

In an effort to reduce this pricing disparity Null will be adding an option to buy in sterling and ship from the UK starting now. This will permit us to serve all customers worldwide while providing more affordable shipping options. Upon entering the site you will be given an option in the upper right hand corner to select currency - either US dollars or British Sterling. See the below recommendation for the cheapest shipping suggestions to determine which is the best currency option for where you live:

CD PURCHASE
• All North and South America - purchase in dollars
• Everywhere else in the world - purchase in sterling

DELUXE PURCHASE
• UK - purchase in sterling
• Everywhere else in the world - purchase in dollars

Just checked, only about £8 for shipping now, much better :yesey:

I think I'm just going to get the CD after it's been out for a while. :erm: Seems pointless to pay a lot for shipping when I know somewhere like Rough Trade will have it at some point.

I wish I had your level of restraint, Max.

Aaaaand... wtf. No need for this:

"Leona Lewis is set to cover the Nine Inch Nails' 1994 track 'Hurt' on her forthcoming EP. Famously covered in 2002 by Johnny Cash, Lewis will feature the song on 'Hurt: The EP', which is set for release on December 9. "

I can see it already: the piano exactly as it was on the original, the sweeping strings, the vast harmonies that will all kick in exactly when you expect them... it'll be sodding awful

They're gonna go the opposite to the way that made Cash's version brilliant, and go uber-bombastic. Grr, grr and grumbles...

Any-waaay, the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo stuff seems to be good; a bit like the Ghosts instrumentals, except they're longer and the tracks have a more distinct identity.

Sampler's here if no one's posted it yet: http://www.nullco.com/GDT/gbp.php

I posted the sampler on the previous page. But yeah, I think her cover will turn out just like that :p. I really did like Cash's cover though. But then again, I was a fan of both Johnny Cash and NIN so it was a perfect match.

Yeah Johnny Cash's version was excellent (just like the original)

Cash was great, but I don't like how people now apply some mind-bending in order not to have to accept that the fantastic song by their great hero is actually coming from an industrial hardrock band.

The mainstream doesn't care about albums.

Same here! If only HTDA's output was as strong. They did a cover of Bryan Ferry's Is Your Love Strong Enough, and it just doesn't have as much of an impact as that Immigrant Song cover. :(

I mean, it's decent enough, not at all bad. But it's not good enough for me to put on repeat. :noey:

I dont really like it :( Hopefully this isn't what the album will be like, I loved that whole eerie vibe the EP had that's missing from this. And the vocals kind of irritate me for some reason...

And the vocals kind of irritate me for some reason...

It's the breathiness at the beginning that irritate me. And they sound very HS stageplay-ish, very unrefined and lacking confidence. I had a bit of hope for HTDA after the Immigrant Song cover came out. That is how I envisioned the project: rough and deep instrumentation with beautiful yet fierce female vocals. But with this song, I've been let down. I'll still listen (and buy) the next HTDA release, but I'm going in with low expectations.
